As most of you know, Cake Wrecks is one of my favorite blogs. Their post on Saturday featured a Make-Your-Own-Cake-Wreck with a blank cake and items to drag and drop. Maybe they will come across this blog someday and create a make-your-own CupCake Wreck!
And don't forget to purchase your 2011 Cake Wrecks calendars!

My Favorite Cupcake Cake Wreck
One of my favorite blogs is Cake Wrecks. It is hard to believe professional cakes & cupcakes can go so horribly wrong, but that blog is proof that it happens....and happens a lot! Visit the Cake Wrecks blog or buy their books. You won't be disappointed and won't stop laughing for a long, long time.
Here is my favorite cupcake cake wreck of all time. This cupcake cake was requested for Shara's birthday and it was supposed to be a cupcake cake of Curious George (the cartoon monkey). But that is not exactly what Shara got. Which character does the cupcake cake look like most??

Cake Wrecks
Cake Wrecks is one of my favorite blogs and the blog is now a book! What is a Cake Wreck you ask?
To quote the author Jen Yates "a Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places. Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;) "

Jen Yates did not forget about cupcakes. When you visit the blog, enter the word "cupcakes" in the search box to find photos of cupcake wrecks...so get the book and start laughing!
