Never-Ending Snow!

It is snowing like crazy today at Lake Tahoe! In two hours this afternoon we got over a foot and tonight's forecast is for 3 inches per hour until noon tomorrow. I have shoveled, plowed, blown snow, scraped the solar panels, and you can't even tell....so I am going to bake a batch of cupcakes, sit by the fire and read the April In Style magazine I bought today!

P.S. I lost my phone after falling in the snow this afternoon. That means I can eat as many cupcakes as I want.

Winter Returns to Lake Tahoe!

Last weekend was warm and sunny....and we almost got fooled into planting colorful things in our flower beds or getting out the patio furniture. But I have learned a valuable lesson in my 8 years living here. Don't do anything until mid-June. Two years ago (on June 24th) we finished a huge landscaping job by planting three truckloads of plants/shrubs. The next morning there was 4 inches of snow and we had to start all over. So now we save time (and lots of money) by waiting, even though it is hard to wait!
